This “Social Media” privacy policy supplements the general privacy policy, which can be found at https://hih-invest.de/datenschutz/ Below we inform you which data we process in the context of our social media presence, which data the operators of the social media platforms process and which rights you are entitled to with regard to your personal data.

1. Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data?

HIH Real Estate GmbH, Ericusspitze 1, 20457 Hamburg (hereinafter “we” or “HIH”) is jointly responsible with the respective operator of the social media platform for the processing of your personal data within the meaning of Art. 26 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). Insofar as we can influence the data processing, we work within the scope of our possibilities to ensure that the operator of the social media platform processes the data in accordance with the data protection requirements.

2. What is the purpose of our social media pages?

We operate the social media pages to inform you about our services, to increase our level of awareness and to be able to get in touch with you.

3 What personal data do we process?

The information you enter on our social media pages, such as user names, comments, videos, images, likes, public messages, etc., will be published by the social media platform and will not be processed by us for any other purpose at any time. We reserve the right to delete the content entered on our social media pages should this be necessary.

We may share your content on our website if this is a function of the social media platform and communicate with you via the social media platform. If you make a request to us on the social media platform, depending on the content, we may also refer you to another, more secure communication channel that ensures confidentiality. Some social media platforms may compile statistics based on usage data that contain information about your interaction with our social media site. We cannot influence or prevent the performance and provision of these statistics.

The legal basis for the processing of your data by us is the legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. It is in our interest to inform potential or existing customers about our company, to carry out public relations work for our company, to optimize the content of our social media pages and to be able to communicate with you.

4. What personal data do the operators of the social media platforms process?

If you are logged in or registered with the social media platforms, the operators of the social media platforms process personal data such as your e-mail address, your account name, your telephone number, your password, the information contained in your profile and the information that you upload to the platform.

The operators of the social media platforms may also use web tracking methods such as cookies, pixels and tags. Web tracking can also take place regardless of whether you are logged in or registered with the social media platform.

We would therefore like to point out that it cannot be ruled out that the operator of the social media platform may use your profile and behavioral data, e.g. to evaluate your habits, preferences, interests, etc.. In this respect, we have no influence on the processing of your data by the operator of the social media platform.
